To intensify the fight against piracy and counterfeiting patents, copyright and trademarks, with the end in view of minimizing if not totally eradicating these crimes against intellectual property, an alliance of businessman and consumerists named COMPACT (Council to Combat Counterfeiting and Piracy of Patents, Copyright and Trademarks) is conducting a 2-way symposium on "PIRACY AND COUNTERFEITING, A NATIONAL CONCERN" to be held on August 31 to September 1, 1989 (Thursday and Friday) at the Rigodon Ballroom, Manila, Peninsula.
