GSIS RESOLUTION NO. 185-14
APPROVAL OF THE POLICY AND PROCEDURAL GUIDELINES (PPG) ON THE PROCESSING OF PERMANENT PARTIAL DISABILITY (PPD) CLAIMS
WHEREAS, Section 17 of Republic Act (RA) 8291 provides benefits for members who suffer from permanent partial disability (PPD);
WHEREAS, there is a need to provide comprehensive guidelines on the medical evaluation and processing of PPD claims that will be uniformly implemented by the Operations Groups;
WHEREAS, PPD arises upon the irrevocable loss or impairment of the use of certain portion/s of the physical faculties, despite which the member is still able to engage in gainful occupation;
RESOLVED, to APPROVE and CONFIRM the Policy and Procedural Guidelines (PPG) on Processing of Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) Claims under RA 8291, as proposed by the Senior Vice President of the VisMin Group, in his memorandum dated 24 November 2014.
A copy of the PPG on Processing of PPD Claims and the attached Schedules of Disabilities (Annexes A and B) are made integral parts of this Resolution. DaEATc
