LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 177

Recognizing that the procedures of certification and recommendation by the NEDA, and investigation by the Tariff Commission under Sections 105, 106, 401, 402, 514 and 515 of the Tariff and Customs Code, as amended, need to be simplified and streamlined so as to facilitate action, and upon recommendation of the NEDA Board, I have approved, as I am hereby approving and declare effective, the rules and regulations adopted and promulgated by the NEDA Board on February 22, 1973, to govern the certification and recommendation by the NEDA, and investigation by the Tariff Commission under Sections 105, 106, 401, 514 and 515 of the Tariff and Customs Code as amended by Presidential Decree Nos. 34 and 230.
I am also hereby authorizing the NEDA Board to make such changes and revisions in the aforesaid rules and regulations whenever the said Board deems it necessary and proper. acd
All concerned are enjoined to act accordingly.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 20th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Seventy-Four.
