REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1342
AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY THOUSAND PESOS FOR THE PROCUREMENT AND PROPAGATION OF COFFEE AND CACAO SEEDS AND SEEDLINGS FOR DISTRIBUTION AT COST TO PLANTERS IN THE PHILIPPINES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
SECTION 1. To enable the Bureau of Plant Industry to advance further the implementation of the coffee and cacao development program of the National Agricultural Council, there is hereby appropriated for the said Bureau from any fund available in the National Treasury of the Philippines not otherwise appropriated, the amount of one hundred eighty thousand pesos to finance the procurement and propagation of coffee and cacao seeds and seedlings for distribution at cost to planters, and for other purposes.
SECTION 2. The proceeds from the sale of coffee and cacao seeds and seedlings shall accrue to a special fund, to be known as Coffee and Cacao Development Fund, which shall be made available to the Director of Plant Industry to finance the project defined in this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
