Republic Act No. 1227, approved on May 31, 1955, appropriates 2,400 pesos from the National Treasury for the payment of a life pension to the widow of the late Commissioner Pedro Guevarra. This funding is intended to support the provisions established in Republic Act No. 988. The Act is effective immediately upon its approval. It was published in the Official Gazette in June 1955.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 1227
AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED PESOS TO CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS OF REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED NINE HUNDRED EIGHTY-EIGHT, REGARDING PAYMENT OF LIFE PENSION TO THE WIDOW OF THE LATE COMMISSIONER PEDRO GUEVARRA
SECTION 1. The sum of two thousand four hundred pesos is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the provisions of Republic Act Numbered Nine hundred eighty-eight regarding payment of life pension to the widow of the late Commissioner Pedro Guevarra for the fiscal year 1954–1955. cdt
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
