Republic Act No. 989, enacted on June 2, 1954, allocates two hundred thousand pesos from the National Treasury for the reconstruction and expansion of the College of Forestry building in Los Baños, Laguna. The funds are designated for purchasing necessary laboratory and office supplies, as well as other related expenditures. Any unspent funds at the end of the fiscal year will remain available for these purposes in subsequent years until fully utilized. The Act takes effect upon its approval.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 989
AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION AND EXPANSION OF THE COLLEGE OF FORESTRY BUILDING IN LOS BAÑOS, LAGUNA, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated, out of the funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of two hundred thousand pesos which shall be expended by the President of the Philippines for the reconstruction and expansion of the College of Forestry building in Los Baños, Laguna; for the purchase of necessary laboratory and office supplies and equipment, and for such other expenditures as may be deemed necessary to carry out properly and effectively the purposes of this Act: Provided, That any unexpended balance of the amount herein appropriated at the end of each fiscal year shall be available for the same purposes in succeeding years until the same is exhausted. cd i
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
