REPUBLIC ACT NO. 461
AN ACT APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL SUM OF TWENTY MILLION PESOS FOR THE ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES FOR THE CAMPAIGN FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF PEACE AND ORDER
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Philippine Treasury not otherwise appropriated an additional sum of twenty million pesos for the Armed Forces of the Philippines for the campaign for the maintenance of peace and order, as hereunder specified:

SECTION 2. No portion of this appropriation shall be used for the purchase of staff cars. cd
SECTION 3. Whenever in his judgment the public interest so requires, the President of the Philippines shall have authority to transfer any portion of the appropriations provided in this Act from one item to another for the Armed Forces of the Philippines: Provided, however, That no item shall be augmented by more than fifty per centum of the original appropriation provided in this Act for such item.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
