LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 1502

In view of the desire of the Government to appoint an inspector in the countries of supply, of the quality, quantity, the price of goods, prior to shipment to the Philippines, under a Comprehensive Import Supervision Scheme it is hereby directed that: cdt
1. The Societe Generale de Surveillance S.A., hereinafter referred to as SGS, be appointed to carry out the Comprehensive Import Supervision Scheme under such terms and conditions as may be agreed upon, in the Agreement to be executed by the Prime Minister on behalf of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines.
2. The SGS be authorized to carry out the services provided in the contract, subject to the terms and conditions thereof.
3. The Minister of Finance, The Minister of Trade and Industry and The Governor of the Central Bank of the Philippines issue the necessary orders, memoranda and circulars necessary to implement the Comprehensive Import Supervision Scheme.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 23rd day of December, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five.
