An Act to Suspend the Operation of Act Numbered Twenty-Seven Hundred and Ninety-Three, Known as the Patent Law, Until Such Time as by Law It Shall be Declared to be In Effect, and for Other Purposes
Act No. 3003, enacted on March 8, 1922, suspends the operation of the Patent Law (Act No. 2793) until it is formally reinstated by law. The amendment specifies that until the Patent Law is declared effective again, the previous legislation (Act No. 2235), which governs the registration and protection of patents in the Philippines, will remain in force. This act effectively halts the enforcement of the Patent Law, shifting reliance to the earlier patent registration framework.
