ACT NO. 2692
AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE TOBACCO PROPAGANDA AND INSPECTION
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of thirty-five thousand pesos, which shall form part of the Tobacco Inspection Fund provided for by section twelve of Act Numbered Twenty-six hundred and thirteen: Provided, That of the appropriation herein made, seven thousand pesos shall be set aside for the propaganda of leaf tobacco in the United States and in other countries where said propaganda is deemed necessary; and twenty-eight thousand pesos for inspection in connection with the cultivation of tobacco and the payment of the personnel necessary for said work in the provinces of Northern Luzon, not to exceed three inspectors in the Province of Isabela, three in that of Cagayan, two in that of Ilocos Norte, two in that of Ilocos Sur, one in that of Abra, two in the Mountain Province, two in that of La Union, three in those of Pangasinan and Zambales, two in that of Tarlac, and one in that of Nueva Ecija.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
