An Act to Amend Act Numbered Seventeen Hundred and Fifty-Seven by Providing for The Confiscation and Disposition of Money, Articles, Instruments, Appliances, and Devices Used in Gambling Prohibited by Said Act or by The Municipal Ordinances
Act No. 2212, enacted on February 3, 1913, amends the previous Act No. 1757 regarding gambling offenses in the Philippines. It mandates that upon conviction for gambling violations, the court must confiscate all money and items used in the gambling activities. Items specifically designed for gambling must be destroyed, while money and proceeds from the sale of other confiscated items will be handled like court-imposed fines. This amendment reinforces the legal framework for addressing gambling-related offenses and ensures proper disposal of related contraband.
