An Act Separating the Rawis National High School Annex in the Municipality of Bacon, Province of Sorsogon, from the Sorsogon National High School (SNHS) in the Municipality of Sorsogon, and Converting it into an Independent National High School to be Known as the Rawis National High School, and Appropriating Funds Therefor
Republic Act No. 8306, enacted on June 6, 1997, establishes the Rawis National High School as an independent institution, separating it from the Sorsogon National High School. The Act mandates the transfer of personnel, assets, liabilities, and records from the former annex to the newly designated school. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) is tasked with creating necessary regulations for the implementation of this law. Funding for the school will be included in the General Appropriations Act in the year following the law's enactment. The Act took effect immediately upon approval.

AN ACT SEPARATING THE RAWIS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ANNEX IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BACON, PROVINCE OF SORSOGON, FROM THE SORSOGON NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL (SNHS) IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SORSOGON, AND CONVERTING IT INTO AN INDEPENDENT NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE RAWIS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. The Rawis National High School Annex in Barangay Rawis in the Municipality of Bacon, Province of Sorsogon, is hereby separated from the Sorsogon National High School in the Municipality of Sorsogon, and converted into an independent national high school to be known as the Rawis National High School.
SECTION 2. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.
SECTION 3. All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Rawis National High School Annex are hereby transferred to and absorbed by the Rawis National High School.
SECTION 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter. cd
SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
