Act No. 2190, enacted on September 17, 1912, extends the provisions of Act No. 2121 to territories inhabited by Moros and other non-Christian tribes in the Philippines. ACT NO. 2190
AN ACT MAKING APPLICABLE TO THE TERRITORY INHABITED BY MOROS OR OTHER NON-CHRISTIAN TRIBES ACT OF THE LEGISLATURE NUMBERED TWENTY-ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-ONE, ENTITLED "AN ACT AMENDING ACT NUMBERED EIGHT HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN BY CHANGING THE METHOD OF APPOINTMENT OF LOCUST BOARDS AND BY DEFINING THE RELATION OF THE BUREAU OF AGRICULTURE TO THE LOCUST BOARDS, AND APPROPRIATING A SUM OF MONEY FOR THE PURPOSES OF SAID ACT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES," AND MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE PURPOSES THEREOF
SECTION 1. Act Numbered Twenty-one hundred and twenty-one of the Philippine Legislature, enacted February first, nineteen hundred and twelve, entitled "An Act amending Act Numbered Eight hundred and seventeen by changing the method of appointment of locust boards and by defining the relation of the Bureau of Agriculture to the locust boards, and appropriating a sum of money for the purposes of said Act, and for other purposes," except section four thereof, is hereby extended to and made applicable in the territory inhabited by Moros or other non-Christian tribes.
SECTION 2. For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act in said territory there is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated the sum of five thousand pesos annually: Provided, however, That the unexpended balance of any year shall revert to the Insular Treasury.
SECTION 3. The duties of provincial boards under said Act Numbered Twenty-one hundred and twenty-one shall be performed in the Moro Province by the legislative council.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect as of July first, nineteen hundred and twelve.
