Republic Act No. 8894, enacted on August 22, 2000, establishes the Gov. Benjamin Leguiab, Sr. Memorial National High School in Daga, Municipality of Conner, Province of Apayao. The school is mandated to provide secondary education and undertake related activities as authorized by the Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports. The Department is responsible for issuing necessary rules and regulations for the Act's implementation. Funding for the school will be included in the General Appropriations Act in the year following the law's enactment. The Act took effect upon its approval.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8894

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AT DAGA, MUNICIPALITY OF CONNER, PROVINCE OF APAYAO TO BE KNOWN AS THE GOV. BENJAMIN LEGUIAB, SR. MEMORIAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. There is hereby established a national high school at Daga, Municipality of Conner, Province of Apayao to be known as the Gov. Benjamin Leguiab, Sr. Memorial National High School. AHaETS

SECTION 2. The school shall offer secondary education proper as well as undertake other activities to carry out its objectives as may be authorized by the Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports.

SECTION 3. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.

SECTION 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter. TEDaAc

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
