An Act Constituting the Second Representative District of the Province of Northern Samar into a Separate Highway Engineering District, and Appropriating Funds Therefor

AN ACT CONSTITUTING THE SECOND REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT OF THE PROVINCE OF NORTHERN SAMAR INTO A SEPARATE HIGHWAY ENGINEERING DISTRICT, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

SECTION 1. Any provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, the second representative district of the Province of Northern Samar, comprising the municipalities of Catubig, Gamay, Laoang, Lapinig, Las Navas, Mapanas, Palapag, Pambujan, San Roque and Silvino Lobos, is hereby constituted into a separate highway engineering district to be known as the Second Highway Engineering District of the Province of Northern Samar. It shall have the jurisdiction of the funds, and shall take charge in the implementation of public works projects for the municipalities comprised in the said engineering district only. It shall have one highway engineer to be appointed in accordance with existing laws and who shall have office in Gamay, Northern Samar.

SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways shall determine the necessary personnel and allocate the property, equipment, materials, supplies, etc., to the new engineering district within the period of ninety (90) days after the approval of this Act.

SECTION 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter.

SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
