ACT NO. 1330
AN ACT CHANGING THE NAME OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF NUEVA VALENCIA, IN THE PROVINCE OF ORIENTAL NEGROS, TO THAT OF LUZURIAGA
WHEREAS there are a number of municipalities in the Philippine Islands which now bear the name of Nueva Valencia and by reason thereof considerable confusion has resulted in the proper distribution of mail matter and in other ways; and
WHEREAS the residents and municipal authorities of the municipality of Nueva Valencia, in the Province of Oriental Negros, by reason of such fact have petitioned that the name of said municipality be changed to that of Luzuriaga, and such petition has been approved by the provincial board: Now, therefore,
By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Commission, that:
SECTION 1. The name of the municipality of Nueva Valencia, in the Province of Oriental Negros, is hereby changed to that of Luzuriaga.
SECTION 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
ENACTED, April 18, 1905.
