COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 416
AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF TWO MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY THOUSAND PESOS TO BE REIMBURSED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR AND THE LOCAL GOVERNMENTS FOR THE EXPENSES BORNE BY THEM FOR THE SECOND REGULAR ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY, AND TO COVER THE UNPAID EXPENSES FOR THE PLEBISCITE ON WOMAN SUFFRAGE IN NINETEEN HUNDRED AND THIRTY-SEVEN
SECTION 1. There is appropriated, out of any funds in the Philippine Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of two million seven hundred forty thousand pesos, of which two million and seven hundred thousand pesos will be reimbursed to the Department of the Interior and the local governments for the expenses borne by them incident to the second regular election of members of the National Assembly, and forty thousand pesos to cover the unpaid expenses for the plebiscite on woman suffrage in the year nineteen hundred and thirty-seven. This appropriation shall be disbursed by the Secretary of the Interior.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
