COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 418
AN ACT APPROPRIATING THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS, OUT OF THE OIL EXCISE TAX FUNDS IN THE NATIONAL TREASURY NOT OTHERWISE APPROPRIATED, TO BE USED FOR HASTENING THE AGRONOMICAL SURVEY OF THE PHILIPPINES
SECTION 1. There is appropriated, out of the oil excise tax funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand pesos to be placed at the disposal of the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce for the purpose of hastening the agronomical survey of the Philippines, as undertaken by the Soil Survey Committee of the Department of Agriculture and Commerce.
SECTION 2. In order to carry out this survey, the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce is authorized, with the approval of the President of the Philippines, to appoint, and fix the compensation of such additional technical personnel as may be necessary.
SECTION 3. Upon completion of the survey, the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce shall report to the National Assembly on the result thereof, together with his recommendations.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
