An Act Adding a New Proviso to Section Ninety-Three of Act Numbered One Hundred and Thirty-Six, as Amended
Act No. 2244, enacted on February 11, 1913, amends Section 93 of Act No. 136 regarding the handling of notarial registers by notaries public in the Philippines. It requires notaries to submit their filled notarial registers to the clerk of the Court of First Instance within fifteen days after their commission expires or is filled. The clerk will examine the register, and if no irregularities are found, it will be forwarded to the chief of the division of archives. However, if irregularities are detected, the case will be referred to the local fiscal or prosecuting attorney, delaying the submission to the archives division until the matter is resolved.
