Amendment to E.O. No. 496 Re: Return of the Office on Muslim Affairs under the Office of the President
Executive Order No. 517, signed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on March 20, 2006, reinstates the Office on Muslim Affairs under the oversight of the Office of the President. It also repeals or modifies any previous issuances or regulations that conflict with this order. The executive order takes effect immediately upon its signing.

EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 517
AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 496 DATED 23 JANUARY 2006
I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:
SECTION 1. The Office on Muslim Affairs is hereby placed back under the oversight of the Office of the President.
SECTION 2. All issuances, rules and regulations or parts thereof which are inconsistent with this Executive Order is hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
SECTION 3. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 20th day of March, in the year of Our Lord Two Thousand and Six.
