AN ACT TO AMEND ACT NUMBERED FORTY-ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-SIX ENTITLED "AN ACT TO CONSIDER THE LATE PONCIANO REYES AND LUCIO DIUQUILLO, RETIRED UNDER ACT NUMBERED TWENTY-FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-NINE, AS AMENDED" BY CLARIFYING THE PROVISIONS THEREOF AS TO THE AMOUNT OF THE GRATUITY TO BE PAID TO THE ESTATE OF THE SAID PONCIANO REYES

SECTION 1. Section one of Act Numbered Forty-one hundred and forty-six is hereby amended with reference to the late Ponciano Reyes, so as to read as follows:

"SECTION 1. The late Ponciano Reyes, Judge of the Court of First Instance of Zamboanga, who died in the performance of his duties, is hereby considered retired in accordance with the provisions of Act Numbered Twenty-five hundred and eighty-nine, as amended, and for the purpose hereof, said retirement shall be as effective as if an application therefor had been filed on January nineteen, nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, and as if the same had been acted upon favorably on January twenty-six, nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, pursuant to the provisions of Act Numbered Twenty-five hundred and eighty-nine as amended by Act Numbered Thirty-three hundred and sixty."

SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
