REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9047
AN ACT INCREASING THE NUMBER OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE CITY OF ANTIPOLO TO THE SANGGUNIANG PANLALAWIGAN OF RIZAL FROM THE PRESENT ONE (1) SANGGUNIAN MEMBER TO TWO (2) MEMBERS, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE REPUBLIC ACT NUMBERED EIGHTY-FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHT
SECTION 1. Section 54 of Republic Act No. 8508, otherwise known as the Charter of the City of Antipolo, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 54. Election of Provincial Governor and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members for the Province of Rizal. — (A) The qualified voters of the City of Antipolo shall be qualified to vote in the elections for provincial governor, vice governor, and the city's representatives to the sangguniang panlalawigan of the Province of Rizal; and
"(b) In the local elections following the 1998 elections and all local elections thereafter, only the qualified voters of the City of Antipolo shall be qualified to vote for two (2) sangguniang panlalawigan members who shall be the city's representatives to the sangguniang panlalawigan of the Province of Rizal."
SECTION 2. All existing laws or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed accordingly. TaISEH
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
