Amendment of BSP Circular No. 935, Dated 28 December 2016
BSP Circular No. 954-17, issued on March 30, 2017, extends the deadline for exchanging or replacing New Design Series (NDS) banknotes with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and its authorized agents at par with New Generation Currency banknotes. The new deadline is set for June 30, 2017, instead of the previous March 31, 2017. This amendment follows the Monetary Board's Resolution No. 442 dated March 16, 2017, and aims to facilitate a smoother transition for the public regarding currency exchange. The circular takes effect immediately.

The Monetary Board, in its Resolution No. 442 dated 16 March 2017, decided to extend the deadline for the exchange or replacement of New Design Series (NDS) banknotes with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and its authorized agent banks and financial institutions at par with New Generation Currency banknotes and without charge, from 31 March 2017 to 30 June 2017.
This recent decision of the Monetary Board amends BSP Circular No. 935 dated 28 December 2016.
This Circular shall be effective immediately.
