SUPREME COURT ADMINISTRATIVE CIRCULAR NO. 36-10
AMENDING SECTION 4 OF ADMINISTRATIVE CIRCULAR NO. 124-2008 DATED NOVEMBER 18, 2008
WHEREAS, Administrative Circular No. 124-2008 dated November 18, 2008 prescribes the Guidelines in the Grant of the Service Award which is the award conferred on all officials and employees retiring under optional or compulsory retirement schemes;
WHEREAS, aside from specifying who are entitled to the award, and the limitations and conditions for entitlement, the Circular likewise provides that the award shall consist of a certificate of appreciation, a cash incentive and a token or souvenir;
WHEREAS, as provided in Section 4, "the awarding shall be held in a fitting ceremony at anytime during the month of June of every year";
WHEREAS, in practice, however, the cash incentive is given on or about the day of retirement of the retirees while only a facsimile thereof is given together with the certificate of appreciation and the token or souvenir during the ceremony in June;
WHEREAS, a confusion is thus created whether the retirees will still receive a cash incentive during the ceremony in June which is separate and distinct from that which was already given or will be given to them on or about their day of retirement;
WHEREAS, to obviate the confusion, the SC PRAISE Committee proposed in its Resolution No. 1-2010 dated April 20, 2010 the needed amendment to Section 4 of Administrative Circular No. 124-2008;
NOW, THEREFORE, the proposal of the SC PRAISE Committee is adopted and Section 4 of Administrative Circular No. 124-2008 is Amended thus: ISaTCD
