Amending Sec. 107 of C.A. No. 141 Re: Patents or Certificates of Land Granted Under the Public Land Act
Republic Act No. 3106, enacted on June 17, 1961, amends Section 107 of the Public Land Act (Commonwealth Act No. 141). The amendment specifies that all land patents or certificates are to be issued in the name of the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, signed by the President, with provisions for delegation of signing authority to the Secretary and Undersecretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources for lands based on their area. This act clarifies the conditions under which these patents or certificates are effective and outlines that actual conveyance of land must comply with the stipulations in the Land Registration Act. The law took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on January 1, 1962.
