Amending P.D. No. 829 Re: Increasing the Base Pay of PMA and PAFFS Cadets
Presidential Decree No. 1103, issued on March 1, 1977, amends the earlier Presidential Decree No. 829 to address the inadequate base pay of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) and Philippine Air Force Flying School (PAFFS) cadets, as well as probationary Second Lieutenants. Recognizing the rising costs of education and training, the decree establishes a monthly base pay of P550.00 for these cadets and officers, effective January 1, 1977. This adjustment aims to enhance their financial status in relation to other personnel in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). The Secretary of National Defense is tasked with implementing the necessary regulations for this decree.
