EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 871
AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 754, SERIES OF 2008
WHEREAS, the Port of Legazpi is one of the major ports in the country;
WHEREAS, the territorial jurisdiction of the Port of Legazpi was revised and delineated through Executive Order No. 754 dated 3 October 2008; aATHES
WHEREAS, there is a need to further revise the Delineated Legazpi Port Zone to accommodate the increasing demands of the rapidly developing city along the waterfront in the field of investments, trade and commerce, shipping and sea transportation, tourism development, and income generating and revenue-raising enterprises;
WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Legazpi passed Resolution No. 0132-2008 on 2 July 2008 recommending the revision of the Delineated Legazpi Port Zone area.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:
SECTION 1. The title of Executive Order No. 754 is hereby amended as follows:
"REVISING THE EXPANDED DELINEATED LEGAZPI PORT ZONE AS PROVIDED FOR UNDER EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 347, SERIES OF 1996 AS AMENDED BY EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 166, SERIES OF 1999"
SECTION 2. Section 1 of Executive Order No. 754, Series of 2008 is hereby corrected as follows:
"Section 1. The territorial jurisdiction of the Port of Legazpi is hereby further revised and delineated as follows:
Beginning at the point marked on the plan at a distance of 405.42 m., with bearing S 46 deg. 13' E from BLLM No. 1 Cad. 47, Albay Cadastre to corner 1; thence to point 2 at a distance of 168.32 m., with bearing N 82 deg. 12' E; thence to point 3 at a distance of 372.05 m., with bearing N 22 deg. 23' W; thence to point 4 at a distance 425.04 m., with bearing N 10 deg. 51' W; thence to point 5 at a distance of 299.60 m., with bearing N 02 deg. 17' E; thence to point 6 at a distance of 332.50 m., with bearing N 17 deg. 36' E; thence to point 7 at a distance of 950.00 m., with bearing due East; thence to point 8 at a distance of 1,600.40 m., with bearing due South; thence to point 9 at a distance of 444.59 m., with bearing S 89 deg. 51' W; thence to point 10 at a distance of 109.45 m., with bearing N 34 deg. 00' W; thence to point 11 at a distance of 308.56 m., with bearing S 54 deg. 04' W; thence to point 12 at a distance of 235.65 m., with bearing N 62 deg. 00' W; thence to point 13 at a distance of 61.12 m., with bearing N 27 deg. 43' W; thence to point 1 at a distance of 127.54 m., with bearing N 06 deg. 57' W, all in all comprising a total area of 1,598,074.90 sq. m., more or less." SECTION 2. All executive issuances or portions thereof which are inconsistent with this Executive Order are hereby revoked, amended or modified accordingly.
SECTION 3. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
