OCA Circular No. 142-15, issued on July 9, 2015, provides guidelines for the disposal and destruction of court records, papers, and exhibits, particularly for long-decided cases and unneeded documents. The Supreme Court's resolution, dated June 30, 2015, establishes a preparatory period from July 1 to July 31, 2015, for implementing these guidelines. In the Resolution dated 30 June 2015 in A.M. No. 07-3-09-SC, the Court En Banc, among other matters, considered 1 to 31 July 2015 "as a preparatory period for the implementation" of the proposed guidelines in the disposition/destruction of court records, papers and exhibits. Said resolution is appended herein as Annex "A" and shall take effect immediately.
Accordingly, this Circular amends OCA Circular No. 122-2015 dated 23 June 2015.
