Alberto Sorongon Sr. Memorial National High School in Barangay Iwa Macatol, Pototan, Iloilo
Republic Act No. 8876, enacted on August 22, 2000, establishes the Alberto Sorongon Sr. Memorial National High School in Barangay Iwa Macatol, Pototan, Iloilo. The Act empowers the Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports to create necessary regulations for its implementation. Funding for the school will be included in the General Appropriations Act of the following year and onwards. The law takes effect upon its approval and was officially published in the Gazette on March 19, 2001.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8876
AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY IWA MACATOL, MUNICIPALITY OF POTOTAN, PROVINCE OF ILOILO TO BE KNOWN AS ALBERTO SORONGON SR. MEMORIAL NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR
SECTION 1. There shall be established a national high school in Barangay Iwa Macatol, Municipality of Pototan, Province of Iloilo to be known as Alberto Sorongon Sr. Memorial National High School. aTICAc
SECTION 2. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby authorized to issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.
SECTION 3. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriations Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter. acAIES
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
