NOTICE
Sirs/Mesdames :
Please take notice that the Court, Third Division, issued a Resolution dated September 2, 2020, which reads as follows:
"A.C. No. 12057 (ROBERT G. TE SIONG, complainant v. ATTY. MARTIN JOHNSON J. HEJE, JR., respondent). — After receiving the June 6, 2018 Notice 1 suspending him from the practice of law for six months, respondent Atty. Martin Johnson J. Heje, Jr. filed a Motion for Reconsideration, 2 asking this Court to reconsider his suspension. However, on October 2, 2018, a Manifestation with Motion to Dismiss 3 was filed by respondent's law partners on his behalf, informing this Court that respondent had died on September 21, 2018, and asking that this Court dismiss the case. CAIHTE
The Manifestation with Motion to Dismiss is granted. Disbarment proceedings are personal to the lawyer involved. 4 Thus, in view of respondent's death, the case against him is dismissed.
WHEREFORE, the June 6, 2018 Notice is SET ASIDE, and the proceedings against respondent Atty. Martin Johnson J. Heje, Jr. are considered CLOSED and TERMINATED.
