Please take notice that the Court, First Division, issued a Resolution dated April 17, 2020which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 237888 (Wenceslao A. Sombero, Jr. vs. Office of the Ombudsman and National Bureau of Investigation). — The Court RESOLVES to:
(1) REQUIRE the Respondents, without necessarily giving due course to petitioner's Urgent Motion for Provisional Release from Detention Due to COVID-19, to FILE their COMMENT within a non-extendible period of seven (7) days, or until April 24, 2020; and HTcADC
(2) DIRECT the Respondents to: (a) TAKE the NECESSARY Interim MEASURES as required by law such as Section 4 of R.A. No. 10575 (The Bureau of Corrections Act of 2013), R.A. No. 11469 (Bayanihan to Heal as One Act), Presidential Proclamation No. 922 series of 2020 (Declaring a State of Public Health Emergency Throughout the Philippines), other laws, presidential proclamations, rules and regulations relevant to this national emergency (COVID-19); and SUBMIT a VERIFIED REPORT in compliance with the preceding directive within the aforementioned period.
