Please take notice that the Court, First Division, issued a Resolution datedAugust 1, 2018which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 239184 (Jestine Bonman R. Picson v. Career Philippines Shipmanagement, Inc., Columbia Shipmanagement Ltd., and/or Verlou Carmelino). — The petitioner's motion for an extension of thirty (30) days within which to file a petition for review on certiorari is GRANTED, counted from the expiration of the reglementary period.
After review, the Court resolves to DENY the petition for failure to sufficiently show that the Court of Appeals (CA) committed any reversible error in dismissing the petition for certiorari. aScITE
As correctly ruled by the CA, petitioner failed to follow the procedure provided under Section 20 (A) (3) of the 2010 Philippine Overseas Employment Administration-Standard Employment Contract for the appointment of a third independent physician together with private respondents considering the conflicting opinions between the company-designated physician and petitioner's own physician. Petitioner also failed to show why the award of sickness allowances should be modified.
WHEREFORE, the petition is DENIED. The Decision dated November 27, 2017 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. SP No. 150836 and the Resolution dated April 6, 2018 are AFFIRMED.
