Please take notice that the Court, Second Division, issued a Resolution dated03 April 2019which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 231824 — Annabelle M. Piatos and Raymundo B. Mariano versus East West Banking Corporation
After reviewing the Petition and its annexes, including the Decision 1 dated October 28, 2016 and Resolution 2 dated April 24, 2017 of the Court of Appeals (CA) in CA-G.R. SP No. 06622-MIN, the Court RESOLVES to DENY the instant Petition and AFFIRM the said rulings of the CA.
The CA committed no reversible error in reversing and setting aside the Decision 3 dated August 29, 2014 and Resolution dated December 8, 2014 of the National Labor Relations Commission and reinstating with modification the Decision 4 dated April 29, 2014 of the Labor Arbiter. Petitioners were dismissed for just and valid causes under Article 282 of the Labor Code, considering their gross and repeated lapses in observing respondent bank's policies with respect to the fraudulent transactions in question.
