NOTICE
Sirs/Mesdames :
Please take notice that the Court, First Division, issued a Resolution dated June 29, 2015 which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 213218 (People of the Philippines v. Jacqulene Parohinog y Dolloso). — After a judicious perusal of the records, the Court resolves to DISMISS the appeal for failure to sufficiently show that the Court of Appeals (CA) committed any reversible error in upholding the conviction of accused-appellant Jacqulene Parohinog y Dolloso for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. (RA) 9165, 1 otherwise known as the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002."
WHEREFORE, the Court ADOPTS the findings of fact and conclusions of law in the February 10, 2014 Decision 2 of the CA in CA-G.R. CR HC No. 01478 and AFFIRMS said Decision finding accused-appellant Jacqulene Parohinog y Dolloso GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of Illegal Sale and Possession of Dangerous Drugs, sentencing her to suffer the following penalties: (a) life imprisonment and to pay a fine in the amount of P500,000.00, with costs, for violation of Section 5, Article II of RA 9165; and (b) indeterminate imprisonment for a period of twelve (12) years and one (1) day, as minimum, to fourteen (14) years and eight (8) months, as maximum, and to pay a fine in the amount of P300,000.00, with costs, for violation of Section 11, Article II of the same Act.
