NOTICE
Sirs/Mesdames :
Please take notice that the Court, First Division, issued a Resolution dated January 14, 2019 which reads as follows:
"G.R. No. 238831 (People of the Philippines v. Jaime Navarro y Mangahas @ "Kim"). — After a review, the Court resolves to DISMISS the appeal for failure to sufficiently show that the Court of Appeals committed any reversible error in upholding the conviction of appellant Jaime Navarro y Mangahas for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
WHEREFORE, the Court ADOPTS the findings of fact and conclusions of law of the Court of Appeals in the Decision dated October 9, 2017 in CA-G.R. CR-HC No. 08601. Appellant Jaime Navarro y Mangahas is held GUILTY beyond reasonable doubt of violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, and is sentenced to suffer: 1) life imprisonment and to pay a fine of P500,000.00 for the illegal sale of shabu; and 2) imprisonment of twelve (12) years and one (1) day, as minimum, to fifteen (15) years, as maximum, and to pay a fine of P300,000.00 for illegal possession of shabu.
