Transferring the Supervision and Control over NTC to the DOTC
Executive Order No. 454, issued on August 16, 2005, transfers the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) back under the supervision and control of the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC). This move reverses a previous directive that had placed the NTC under the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) as established by Executive Order No. 269 in 2004. The transfer aims to streamline bureaucratic operations within the government. The order also repeals or modifies any conflicting regulations and takes effect immediately.
