Transfer of Waterworks, Sewerage and Drainage Systems from National Waterworks and Sewerage Authority

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 5798
AN ACT TRANSFERRING FROM THE NATIONAL WATERWORKS AND SEWERAGE AUTHORITY THE WATERWORKS, SEWERAGE AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF THE PROVINCE OF NEGROS ORIENTAL, INCLUDING THE CITIES OF BAIS, CANLAON AND DUMAGUETE, TO THE CORRESPONDING MUNICIPALITIES AND CITIES
SECTION 1. The waterworks, sewerage and drainage systems in the municipalities of the Province of Negros Oriental, including the cities of Bais, Canlaon and Dumaguete, are hereby transferred from the National Waterworks and Sewerage Authority to the corresponding municipalities and cities to which such systems belong together with all their property, records, equipment, machinery and other assets. The branch offices of the National Waterworks and Sewerage Authority in said municipalities and cities are hereby abolished. cd i
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
