Transfer of Certain Barrios from Municipality of Natonin to Barlig, Mountain Province
Republic Act No. 4739, approved on June 18, 1966, transfers the barrios of Kaleo and Kadaclan (Chupac) from the Municipality of Natonin to the Municipality of Barlig in Mountain Province. Following this transfer, the Municipal District of Barlig is established as a regular municipality. The Act also stipulates that additional councilors for Barlig will be appointed by the President and that current councilors from Natonin who reside in the transferred barrios will continue their terms in Barlig. The law took effect upon its approval and was published in the Official Gazette on January 13, 1969.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4739
AN ACT TRANSFERRING CERTAIN BARRIOS FROM THE MUNICIPALITY OF NATONIN TO THE MUNICIPALITY OF BARLIG, MOUNTAIN PROVINCE
SECTION 1. Barrios Kaleo and Kadaclan (Chupac) in the Municipality of Natonin, Mountain Province, are separated from said municipality, and are transferred to and made part of the Municipality of Barlig, same province.
SECTION 2. Upon the approval of this Act, the Municipal District of Barlig is hereby converted into a regular municipality. cd
SECTION 3. The additional councilors of the Municipality of Barlig shall be appointed by the President and shall hold office until their successors shall have been elected in the next election for local officials and shall have qualified: Provided, That the incumbent elective municipal councilors of the mother municipality who are residents of the barrios transferred shall continue to serve as such in the Municipality of Barlig until the expiration of their terms of office. All additional officers and employees of said municipality shall be appointed as provided by law.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
