Swift and Efficient Collection of Obligations Incurred by Farmers from Rural Banks, PNB and ACA for Masagana 99

LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 124

In order to ensure the swift and efficient collection of obligations incurred by farmers from rural banks, PNB and the ACA for Masagana 99, you are hereby instructed to undertake the following: acd

1. The Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources shall direct all farm production technicians to exhort all farmers who have incurred debts from the rural banks, the Philippine National Bank, and the Agricultural Credit Administration (ACA) to pay their obligations after the Masagana 99 harvest.

2. The Secretary of Local Governments and Community Development to ensure the assistance of all provincial governors and mayors in encouraging the farmers to fulfill their obligations. cd i

3. The Secretary of National Defense is directed to provide assistance in the collection of loans, upon the recommendation of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources and/or other authorized civilian personnel, in the event that efforts of these civilian entities prove inadequate.

Immediate and strict compliance with the Letter of Instruction is desired.
