Suspension of Work in the Private Sector in Areas Affected by Southwest Monsoon (Habagat)
Memorandum Circular No. 33-A, issued on August 7, 2012, suspends work in all private sector offices within the National Capital Region and several provinces (Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal) due to inclement weather caused by the southwest monsoon (habagat). The suspension is based on recommendations from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. The circular takes effect immediately.

MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 33-A
Upon the recommendation of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and in view of the continuing inclement weather brought about by southwest monsoon (habagat), work in all offices in the private sector in the National Capital Region and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, and Rizal are hereby suspended today, 07 August 2012. SCEDAI
This Circular shall take effect immediately.
