REPUBLIC ACT NO. 4030
AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE STANDARDIZATION OF SALARIES OF THE OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE OFFICE OF THE SOLICITOR GENERAL AND AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE
SECTION 1. Any provision of law, executive order, rule or regulation to the contrary notwithstanding, the officials and employees of the Office of the Solicitor General shall receive the salary rates provided for in this Act.
SECTION 2. The Office of the Solicitor General shall have one administrative officer whose salary shall be eight thousand four hundred pesos per annum, and who shall exercise general supervision and control over all the administrative employees of the office.
He shall be assisted by an administrative assistant who shall receive an annual salary of seven thousand two hundred pesos, who shall perform the duties of the administrative chief in his absence and shall perform such other services as may be required of him. In addition, the following shall compose the administrative staff of the office:

The incumbent administrative officer and all incumbent officials and employees occupying positions affected by the preceding section at the time of the effectivity of this Act shall continue to occupy their respective positions and receive the salary increases herein provided without the necessity of any new appointment. cdt
SECTION 3. In addition to such sums as may have been provided in the current Appropriations Act, there is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, such sums as are hereby necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
