Rules and Procedures for the Disposition of Unredeemed Impounded Vehicles
MMDA Resolution No. 21-12 establishes rules for the disposition of unredeemed impounded vehicles in Metro Manila due to violations of MMDA Regulation No. 97-004, which imposes stricter penalties for certain traffic offenses. The resolution mandates that vehicle owners receive written notice of their ability to redeem their vehicles within 15 days before public auction. An Auction Committee will oversee the public sales, which occur monthly, and vehicles will be sold on an "as-is-where-is" basis, with the auction proceeds allocated to cover associated fees and fines. Unsold vehicles or those from failed auctions will be disposed of according to the regulation, and the resolution takes effect 15 days after publication.
