On February 10, 2009, the Philippine Supreme Court issued a resolution regarding the collection of mediation fees and the payment of mediators' fees, as outlined in A.M. No. 04-8-12-SC. The resolution approved revised guidelines that adjusted the fees for mediators in First and Second Level Courts and the Court of Appeals, increasing the rates for settled cases and maintaining the fees for unsuccessful mediations. Specifically, the new rates for settled cases are now ?1,000 for CAM and ?2,000 for ACM, while unsuccessful cases retain their previous rates. Additionally, specific fees for B.P. 22 and Estafa cases were established, with varying rates based on the number of counts and the success of mediation. Importantly, mediators can only receive payment for a maximum of three unsuccessful cases per month.
