SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 029-16
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ALL REGULAR STANDING COMMITTEES, OVERSIGHT COMMITTEES AND SPECIAL COMMITTEES OF THE SENATE TO CONDUCT HEARINGS, INVESTIGATIONS ON ISSUES OF NATIONAL INTEREST, MEETINGS AND CONSULTATIONS DURING THE RECESS OF THE 17TH CONGRESS
Resolved by the Senate of the Philippines, to authorize and encourage all Regular Standing Committees, Oversight Committees and Special Committees of the Senate to conduct hearings, investigations on issues of national interest, meetings and consultations during the recess of the 17th Congress.
Resolved, further, to authorize the Committees to issue subpoena or subpoena duces tecum to any person, corporation, entity or its officers, to testify and/or produce such documents which may be needed in the meetings, hearings or consultations of the Committees.
Resolved, furthermore, to encourage the Committees to immediately file committee reports based on the outcome of its studies, hearings or investigations to the Senate in its regular session, and to regard all pending measures with utmost urgency for the consideration of its immediate passage by the Senate.
Resolved, finally, That this Resolution shall take effect on the date of its adoption and shall remain in force until they are amended or repealed.
