Request for the President's Concurrence in the Deputation of AFP and PNP in the Conduct of Voting Center Site Survey

MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 304
REQUEST FOR THE CONCURRENCE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES IN THE DEPUTATION OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES (AFP) AND THE PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE (PNP),IN THE CONDUCT OF THE VOTING CENTER SITE SURVEY IN CONNECTION WITH THE TRANSMISSION OF ELECTION RESULTS FOR THE MAY 10, 2010 AUTOMATED NATIONAL AND LOCAL ELECTIONS
Pursuant to Section 2, (4) (c), Article IX of the Constitution, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby concur with Resolution No. 8674 of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), promulgated on 23 September 2009, deputizing the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), to assist the COMELEC in the conduct of the survey by providing security and/or additional personnel in the conduct of the Voting Center Site Survey, for the purpose of ensuring free, orderly, honest, peaceful and credible conduct of the May 10, 2010 National and Local Elections. CADacT
The foregoing law enforcement agencies and other concerned agencies are hereby directed to coordinate and cooperate with the Commission on Elections in the performance of their duties and functions.
This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
