LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 1237

WHEREAS, it is the commitment of the Government to ensure the continuous growth and development of free trade unions equipped with adequate facilities necessary for their advancement; cdt
WHEREAS, in the pursuit of national development, industrial peace and social justice, the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines has been playing, and continues to play an important role; and
WHEREAS, the application of the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines for financing to construct its own building to house its national headquarters, consisting of offices and facilities for such activities as cooperatives and credit unions to serve the needs of its more than one million members, having been previously approved; acd
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby direct the Administrator of the Social Security System and the General Manager of the Government Service Insurance System to cause the immediate release of funds for the approved construction loan for the TUCP building.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 1st day of May, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Two.
