Relaxation of the Rules on Prescribed Office Attire and Allowing the Wearing of Wash Day Clothes from 07 to 31 December 2022
OCA Circular No. 346-2022 allows employees of first and second level courts in the Philippines to wear more relaxed office attire from December 7 to December 31, 2022. This includes the option to wear denim pants and casual footwear, as requested by the Supreme Court Employees Association. However, certain restrictions remain in place, such as the prohibition of collarless t-shirts for men and ripped clothing. All court employees must still maintain a decent and presentable appearance while on duty.

For the information and guidance of all first and second level courts, appended herein as Annex "A" is the approved Memorandum dated 06 December 2022 of the Committee for Office Uniform for the Supreme Court, the Presidential Electoral Tribunal and the Lower Courts on the request of the Supreme Court Employees Association (SCEA) for the relaxation of the Guidelines on the Wearing of Appropriate Office Attire thereby allowing court employees to wear denim or "maong" pants, rubber shoes, sandals, and step-ins, pursuant to Paragraph IV (B) [B.3] of Administrative Circular No. 42-2013, in relation to Paragraph II of the 06 December 2018 Guidelines on the Wearing of Appropriate Office Attire *effective 07 December 2022 until 31 December 2022, provided, that the following shall continue to be prohibited: (1) collarless t-shirts for men; and (2) ripped pants/jeans, provided, further, that all court employees shall wear DECENT and PRESENTABLE ATTIRE while on official duty.
