Recreation of Former Municipality of Quinapondan, Samar
Republic Act No. 61, enacted on October 17, 1946, recreates the former municipality of Quinapondan in the Province of Samar, restoring its original territorial boundaries prior to its incorporation with Balangiga. REPUBLIC ACT NO. 61
AN ACT TO RECREATE THE FORMER MUNICIPALITY OF QUINAPONDAN, PROVINCE OF SAMAR
SECTION 1. The former municipality of Quinapondan, Province of Samar, is hereby recreated. Its territorial jurisdiction shall comprise all the territory included in the former municipality of Quinapondan before it was annexed or incorporated by virtue of former Philippine Commission Act Numbered Nine hundred and sixty, with the municipality of Balangiga, Province of Samar.
SECTION 2. The Municipal Mayor, Vice-Mayor and Councilors of the new recreated municipality shall be appointed by the President of the Philippine Republic to hold office until their successors are elected and qualified. cd
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
