PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 638
REAPPROPRIATING THE SAVINGS OR BALANCES OF THE APPROPRIATIONS FOR COMPLETED BRIDGE PROJECTS TO AUGMENT THE APPROPRIATION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CAUPLASAN BRIDGE PROJECT
WHEREAS, there have been savings realized from the appropriations for the construction of the following completed bridge projects:

WHEREAS, the appropriation for the construction of the Cauplasan Bridge, Km. 505.53, along Ilocos Norte-Apayao Road, Dingras, Ilocos Norte, is not sufficient for the completion of said projects;
WHEREAS, reappropriating the savings realized from the above-mentioned projects would augment the limited appropriation for the Cauplasan Bridge project and thereby expedite its completion.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers in me vested by the Constitution, do hereby decree:
SECTION 1. The provisions of existing laws, rules and regulations to the contrary notwithstanding, the amount of P741,720.05, representing the total savings from the appropriations of completed bridge projects undertaken by the Department of Public Highways, is hereby reappropriated and made available for the construction of the Cauplasan Bridge, Km. 505.53, along Ilocos Norte-Apayao Road, Dingras, Ilocos Norte. aisa dc
SECTION 2. The Secretary of Public Highways is hereby authorized to re-program and disburse this amount for the construction of the above-mentioned project.
SECTION 3. This Decree shall take effect upon its approval.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 20th day of January, in the year of Our Lord, Nineteen Hundred and Seventy-Five.
