Re: Committee on Lower Court Reportorial Requirements
On January 8, 2013, the Supreme Court of the Philippines issued a resolution regarding the reportorial requirements for lower courts and the enforcement of jail visitation and inspection protocols. The Court acknowledged a memorandum from DCA Raul B. Villanueva and decided to allow jail visitations and inspections by Executive Judges of first and second-level courts, as well as RTC judges of single sala stations, to resume on a quarterly basis. Additionally, the Court approved in principle new guidelines related to these visitations, pending modifications. The resolution emphasizes the importance of oversight in the jail system while responding to requests from judges for adjustments in enforcement.
